A Ugandan journalist has innovated Tulavo, an online hotel booking platform which is expected to improve community tourism in Africa by automating cheap travel accommodation Tourism sector.
Stephen Okhutu, the CEO of Tulavo told Voice of Muhabura that the innovation aims at helping budget travelers in Africa to easily find clean and secure accommodation while traveling allover Africa. The platform currently has over 10,000 hotel rooms listed from major destinations of Uganda.
We want to help travellers in Africa to easily find cheap hotel rooms that cost between $7 and not more than $100. We connect travelers to quality cheap hotels especially in the remote rural areas of Africa.

The innovation which s available online at www.tulavo.com is a product of Bookablehood Ltd., a data warehousing company. The company is now among the 6 companies selected from East Africa to participate in the Travel Tech for Good Accelerator Program 2020, program supported by UN world Tourism Organization.
