Residents of Cyondo and Matyazo village, Rukongi parish in Nyarusiza Sub County have commended the Bufumbira South Member of Parliamen Hon Sam Bitangaro for helping them to construct a permanent that connects the two villages.
While speaking after the launch of the bridge, residents said they have been having difficulties to cross the stream after heavy down power because the bridge was temporally.
Basis James the LC1 chairperson of Cyondo village said Sam Bitangaro started the project after one resident died in the stream. He said that they are now crossing without fear.
Hon Sam Bitangaro who launched the bridge today morning said the bridge is a community based project. He said that he initiated the idea of constructing the bridge to ease the movement of people and vehicles that carry agriculture harvests especially Irish potatoes.
Meanwhile Sam Bitangaro has supported the construction of different bridges in Nyarusiza and Muramba Sub County.
