The babies, she claims, are in good health but are being supported by an incubator at St. Francis Hospital, Mutolere in Nyakabande Sub County, Kisoro district.

Mother of the triplets

Turyasiima says all the three babies are breast feeding normally but are still underweight with just 1.9kgs.

This was confirmed by one of the midwives at the hospital, who preferred anonymity.

Tibemanya Atanazio, father to the triplets said having eight children to support is arduous and has him completely baffled.

The couple is now calling on well-wishers to come and support them get back on their feet by taking the babies home to their brothers and sisters.

A special request was made to the newly elected Member of Parliament for Bukimbiri County Hon. Eddie Kwizera Wa Gahungu to intervene in the matter.

Twinomuhanji Maria Jasinta, one of the family members said it is going to be an uphill task to raise the family and called on well-wishers to support the young family cope with the blessing turned burden.

St. Francis Hospital, Mutolere declined to reveal the likely bill of the triplets saying the total billing is done on the day of discharge.
