Hon. Ssempijja said that he has always been reminded by Hon. Buturo to visit the lakes and devise ways of improving fish production to enhance incomes among the lake users.

Minister Ssempijja asked the people leaving around the lakes to avoid encroaching on the banks of these lakes because it leaves a way for running soils to enter the these lakes that affects aquatic life.

Hon. Buturo asked the residents to unite in order to utilize the chance because after getting all the promises fulfilled, many people will get jobs and incomes will be boosted among families.

The LC3 Chairperson for Murora sub county, Nkuzimana Hadard appreciated the efforts put in by the Bufumbira east MP to ensure fish productivity in Kisoro district but requested the minister to provide a modern boat because residents always risk crossing pregnant mothers.

Meanwhile, fishermen lead by Machari James, appreciated the developments brought to them by Hon. Buturo. They added that they have started saving groups that have joined SACCOs to enhance on their incomes.
