Kisoro police investigates a case in which three people were attacked in Birembo village

KISORO: Kisoro police is still investigating the case in which Semitwe Stephen 52 years and two others were attacked.
Semitwe a resident and Mftumukiza Godfrey were waylaid while on their way to home at 9pm last night.
According to Kigezi police spokesperson, assailant attacked three people Semitwe Stephen,Mfitumukiza Godfrey and Ntirenganya Alex alias Boy all of the same place. During the attack Semitwe Stephen was cut on the throat and left Chic, Muftumukiza Godfrey was cut on the head and Ntirenganya Alex escaped un hurt.
Maate added that Ntirenganya Alex made an alarm that attracted the villagers who immediately went to the scene and got one Ax 01196 LDU Natamba Jackson aged 22 yrs attached to 35 Battalion Nyakabande near the scene and was suspected to be among the assailants, something police is yet to establish.
He was attacked, beaten and left unconscious in the garden of sweat potatoes but later rescued by soldiers and taken to Kisoro Hospital with injuries on the head.
While speaking on bed at Mutorele hospital Mfitumukiza Godfrey said that they were waylaid by people whom they suspect to be security officers.
According to police no suspect has been arrested and motive of the attack not yet established.
