The Kisoro Municipality MP aspirant, Mukankwaya Tana Salim has vowed to ensure equal service delivery to the people leaving in Kisoro Municipality once she gets the parliamentary seat come 2021 general elections.
Tana Salim who lost the election for Kisoro district woman MP seat in 2016 on NRM ticket says that she has changed to Kisoro Municipality under the national unity platform (NUP) to allow her deliver efficiently to the people.
Speaking to voice of Muhabura, Tana Salim said that she decided to contest under NUP because she has lost trust in her mother party NRM due to recurring unfulfilled promises in the party to her as an individual and the nation as a whole.
Tana says that she is confident that she will win the general elections and get a platform to fight for more developments in the Municipality by being a voice for the voiceless.
She however decried attacks and intimidations being made on her camp by her competitors alleging that she was attacked on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Ndayambajje Richard Helb, coordinator of NUP in kisoro district also contesting as an LC5 councilor for Bunagana town council says that national unity platform is ready to change the country’s leadership in order to end corruption, tribalism, and other injustices in the country.
