It is not every day that you come along real-life stories of black magic and mystical powers, except in the movies.
One family in Nyabitare Village, Rwaramba Parish, Nyakinama Sub County, Kisoro district will tell you otherwise.
After losing their precious Pig to a thief, this family consulted a witchdoctor to help them recover the lost hog.
Kwizera Robert, owner of the Pig says he lost his animal over the weekend and engaged all his family members to look for it but all efforts were in vain.
Pigs are a common household animal kept using free range system. They are good for Pork, a common delicacy among section of Ugandans.
It also consumes decomposing leftovers to produce quality manure for gardening.
During the ritual orchestrated by the un-named witchdoctor, all family members were required to drink a specially made concoction.
Musekula Godfrey, one of the family members, says the black magic expert predicted that the thief among them would reveal himself after experiencing strange episodes of collapsing and convulsing on the ground.
Duhimbaze Ernest, 42 became mute and ran out of the house. He went straight to where the pig used to live and fell to the ground.
Aidah Nyirahabimana, another family member said she was not surprised that Duhimbaze is the likely suspect of the theft.
Several residents who learnt of the strange happenings said Duhimbaze is a perpetual thief of animals who has finally been exposed.
Voice of Muhabura could not independently verify the reason as to why Duhimbaze acted the way he did despite public confirmation of his dubious nature.
