In honor of the late Bavuga’s contributions to Kisoro district, his family held mass yesterday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Soon after a small procession went home to share fond memories and merry make.

Rev. Fr. John Sebatware, the Mutolere Deanery Parish Priest called upon the congregants to emulate the late John Bavuga, whose contribution to society, will forever remain unending, through all those who benefitted from his tutelage

He commended Late Bavuga’s children who continue to carry the torch of excellence, humility and love in the Kisoro.

Winnie Bavuga, a 4-acre model champion and founder of BAFASO mixed farm said she learnt a lot from her late father, and this has inspired her to pursue excellence in everything she does.

Winnie says her mother’s support remains invaluable as she aspires to make BAFASO Mixed Farm, a one stop centre for food, drink and relaxation.

Woman Councilor for Nyakabande and Kanaba Florence Nkuranga said Bavuga’s name will live forever because the family has innovated from commercial farming to value addition.

This has helped increase income to their household as well as promoted development in the district.

Nyakabande LC III chairperson Ntawera Funi said the Bavuga home was one where anyone was welcome. He says the younger generation need to pick a leaf and abandon destructive behavior such as Alcoholism and gambling.

Ntawera further said that the future is bright for the Bavuga household, and all this can be attributed to the great foundation laid by the late John Bavuga.
