“Growing up, I never once lacked the basic learning materials because all the schools I attended had the facilities necessary to support learning so when my family and friends asked me what I wanted for my 18th birthday, I asked for donations to raise money for text books for Gitovu Primary School”, Francine explained.

Francine Gasasira is one of the great grandchild of the Late Rev. Yohana Runyangye from Gitovo village, Gitovu parish Busanza Sub County.

While speaking to Voice of Muhabura, Francine stressed the power of helping others who are less privileged. She explained that all it takes is one kind act from one person at a time to change lives and communities for the better.

The Head teacher Gitovu Primary school Sunday Julius promised to make the best use of the text books that he hopes will inspire many young learners to aspire for great things.

The Chairperson School management Rev. Habyara Kiiza Christopher requested parents to educate their children by sending them to school once the schools re-open in January 2022. He noted that education is the key to success and it is an investment that shall never disappoint.
