The Bufumbira East Member of parliament Hon Dr James Nsaba Buturo has fulfilled his pledge of five million Uganda shillings to Bufumbira East Youths Development Sacco to help members in the area out of poverty.
Hon Nsaba Buturo deposited the money on the account of the Sacco yesterday afternoon. He promised to support this Sacco with five million in August last.
Hon Nsaba Buturo confirmed that he deposited the cash saying that he wants the Bufumbira East Youths Development Sacco to be a model Sacco in kisoro and Uganda in particular. He said that the development of the Sacco will depend on good leadership
He added that the youth should start small project to develop rather than waiting for government.
He reminded his fellow leaders to support the youths with developmental ideas if they are to change the current economic situation.
Tumbaze Moses Laban one of the idea bearers behind the formation of the Sacco commended Hon Nsaba Buturo for fulfilling the promise in time. He said that the money will help the Sacco to develop through giving loans to shareholders.
The Sacco started with 15 members and it has so far attracted 150 youths from all sub counties of Bufumbira East.
