Ssenyonjo hits quadruple as 10-man KCCA hammer Kitara

Sam Ssenyonjo scored four times as 10-man KCCA rallied to beat relegated Kitara 6-2 at Masindi Municipal Stadium on Friday.

The U-20 international scored in the 6^th, 57^th, 65^th and 67^th minutes to put the hosts to the sword.

Charles Lwanga and Andrew Kawooya scored the other goals for Morley Byekwaso’s charges who consolidate fourth place with 48 points.

Vincent Kasoki and Nathan Oloro scored for bottom placed Kitara who were relegated with over six games to end the round.

KCCA’s next game will be at home to Wakiso Giants on Wednesday 23 while Kitara will visit URA on the same day.

The flood gates were open by then as Ssenyonjo rushed onto the ball to slot beyond Opio three minutes before he rounded off a dominant KCCA performance when he lashed in a superb sixth goal,for his fourth goal on the day.

KCCA have now won back-to-back games for the first time since December 2020 as they extend their grip on fourth place moving to 48 points. Meanwhile, Kitara suffer their 20th defeat of the season as they remain bottom of the table.
