A total of 331 minors have today been confirmed by the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kabale, Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira.
Bishop Rubaramira, who conducted the holy sacrament at Gisoro Catholic Parish in Kisoro Municipality urged parents of the children raise them in the way of the Lord and ensure that the home setting is peaceful and conducive for religious growth.
Bishop Rubaramira also thanked the Christians for their support during the fundraising of Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund (BAAF), which they conducted on the 14th of October 2023 where he revealed that St. Ignatius University Kabale will start to function in the month of January 2024.
Father Mbabazi Alfonse of St Peters Gisoro catholic parish said that the reason for the confirmation is to ensure that Christians are taught values of the church and true Christians and therefore become warriors of Jesus Christ.
Father Mbabazi asked Christians to hold fast on Jesus Christ to have a good life adding that Christ like lifestyle is for both the young and the old.
