There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life more pleasant for others.
In perilous times such as these, acts of kindness help to remind us of our humanity and the importance of togetherness.
The evening of Sunday 4th September 2022, will forever be engraved in the memory of Mr. Atanazio Tibemanya and his wife Turyasiima Geraldine after a heavy burden in a prayer was finally answered.
The Ubuntu Bafumbira United Association, ably represented by three of their own paid a timely visit to St. Francis Hospital, Mutolere where they handed over support to the couple who recently delivered premature triplets.
A previous story published by Voice of Muhabura revealed that, the Couple from Chogo Village, Kagunga Parish, Bukimbiri County were living in fear of failing to pay off a medical bill that proved overwhelming.
They too, worried about the future of the babies who will be joining five others, bring the total number of children belonging to the couple to eight.
Secretary for Education in Ubuntu Phionah Bahungirehe said the association learnt about the family’s plight from the news on Voice of Muhabura and decided to carry out a needs assessment.
Ubuntu managed to raise up to 2.4 million Ugandan shillings meant to clear the hospital bills and also managed to contribute a number of assortments including Millet flour, washing soap, clothes for children and baby diapers among others.
The association also gracefully managed to give the couple 800,000 Ugandan shillings, cash meant to support the couple get back on their feet as they look for money through practical skills to ensure the family, not only survives but learns to thrive.
“It is our prayer that with the support we have extended to the family, the children will grow to become useful people to their family, community and the entire country, Bahungirehe said
Bahungirehe said the association will continue to support the family for as long as possible.
The family commended Ubuntu for their kindness and vowed not to neglect their children and ensure to raise them into responsible Ugandans.
Imeldah Mukeshimana, a representative on Welfare Committee said Ubuntu Bafumbira United Association is an association that brings together all Bafumbira from different parts of the world.
The objective of the association is to support development in the area.
The association currently has over 800 members currently being headed by Hilary Bisanga.
