Voice of Muhabura employees undergo voluntary covid 19 testing, health department appreciates.

Voice of Muhabura employees have been subjected to Mandatory testing of covid-19 amidst fear of the rising community cases in the country.

According to voice of Muhabura managing director, Prince Trevor Mugenga, covid-19 testing is crucial to all staff because the radio station receives several people from unknown places who could import the virus to the radio.

 Prince who urged all people to embrace individual tests also noted that news reporters are also subjected to the risk of contracting the virus and thus testing them is good to know their status.

Voice of Muhabura news editor, Nkunda Julius said that early covid-19 testing is important because it can save people and their neighbor’s lives. He suggested that government should embark random community testing.

Other VOM staff said that covid-19 is a deadly disease that does not segregate and the only way to end it is following all standard operating procedures and early testing.

Meanwhile, kisoro district head of disease surveillance team, Nick Muneza applauded voice of Muhabura Management for requesting voluntary covid-19 testing adding that all district staff will also be tested on Tuesday and being mandatory to all taskforce members

However by the time of filling this story, health officials were waiting for a covid-19 suspect from Kampala who allegedly escaped after his roommate tested positive yesterday. The suspect is a resident of Mabende village, Nteko parsish in Nyabwishenya Sub County.
