Uwimana grace, a FUFA budge holder since 2020 has departed Kisoro district this morning to join over 80 other referees from different regions of the country for a National Physical test ahead of 2021/22 football season.
The 24 year old referee has departed aboard gate way express bus as the only female referee to represent Mbarara region.
The Physical fitness test exercise is slated for Saturday 2nd October 2021 at the Njeru technical center in the central region of Uganda.67 referees who include both men and women will report for medical checkups on Friday 1st October 2021, where covid-19 vaccination is a must to those who have not yet vaccinated with two dozes.
Speaking to vomuhabura ahead of her journey, Uwimana noted that she is delighted to have been selected among referees to go for the exercise. She pledged to do her best and pass all stages in order maintain her FUFA budge as she focuses on the FIFA budge.
“I’m delighted that I was shortlisted among other many referees in the whole country. It is not easy to be part because Uganda has very many professional referees at my level and being considered for this exercise motivates me more to work harder so that I attain the FIFA budge too,”
The certificate holder in laboratory technician is the first female referee from Kisoro district at the FUFA level, and the youngest in Kigezi region.
