The lions club of Kisoro donates a 2000 litre oxygen cylinder to the Kisoro district covid-19 task force.

The lions club of Kisoro has donated a 2000 litre oxygen cylinder to the Kisoro district covid-19 task force.

The cylinder was delivered to Kisoro hospital by the lions club president Dusabe Annet. While delivering the cylinder Annet said that the pandemic is real and since patients need life style. It was seen as a necessity by the club to donate to the members.

She asked the people of Kisoro to observe Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) if they are to defeat covid-19.

The Kisoro district DHO, Dr. Nsabiyunva Stephen appreciated the generosity of lions club members who  thought of saving lives of Ugandans. He said that Oxygen is essential in Covid-19 response.

Dr. Twine, the Doctor in charge of Kisoro Hospital Covid-19 treatment Unit asked  well wishers to donate to the good cause of saving lives. He revealed that Kisoro hospital has been overwhelmed by donations from its People both in and out of the area.

Asked of whether the hospital is in dire need, he said that currently the hospital is having enough oxygen for the current number of patients. He warns People against disobeying Covid-19 prevention measures saying that the situation may change at anytime.

This becomes the first activity for the new Lion president Lion Annet Dusabe.
