Residents of Kabale Village in Nyarusiza Sub County were yesterday left in shock after a 20 year old Rwandan national was discovered hanging from the ceiling of his room after his mother refused to buy him a motorcycle to do boda boda business.
The deceased has been identified as Mfitumukiza Claude, son to Nyirabukarabone Ferriday who have lived in Kabale village for the last over 17 years working for survival through casual work, commonly known as leisure leisure.
The deceased has since been buried in a public cemetery.
Mother Speaks out, says Alcoholism took her boy
According to Nyirabukarabone, the late Mfitumukiza spent the previous day chasing her with a panga threatening to send her back to Rwanda in order to sell the land they had acquired in order to buy a motorcycle.
Nyirabukarabone says that she refused to sell land because it is the only asset they own and it was the only reason she came to Uganda.
While speaking to Vomuhabura, Nyirabukarabone said her son was addicted to drinking Waragi and could no longer function without drinking Alcohol.
Aliens not welcome
The Kabale LC1 Chairperson Bizimana Benon said that locals are tired of the undisciplined behaviors of Rwandan nationals in his village.
He demanded for strict restrictions from the Ugandan government against Rwandans who have continued to enter Uganda yet they have nowhere to bury them when they die.
Reports indicate an influx of Rwandese entering Uganda from Burera district through Mulemure side to work for food.
Residents hailing from Kabale village and Gasiza trading center condemned acts of terror from the youths against their parents.
They advised the youths to work for their own wealth. Some residents advised parents to always report to police whenever there are acts of intimidations from their children.
