Kisoro; Champions for the Kisoro district corporate league is yet to be confirmed after yet another postponement following a full time and penalty shootout draw between finalist Kisoro district local government workers and Kisoro young simba management on Sunday 9th May 2021.
Ten teams including voice of Muhabura, Bonny’s agencies, Kisoro young Simba and Kisoro district local government participate in this league that was played on a gala basis on the weekend of 2rd May 2021 but ended prematurely after Bonny’s agencies players protested a goal scored against them by sitting on the pitch where Finals were to be played.

This forced the league’s organisers to postpone finals to the following Sunday of 9th May 2021, however, full time play between contestants Young Simba management and Kisoro district local government workers did not produce any goal.
The moment Referee Mutabaruka John who doubles as a coach for Gorilla Highland soccer club blown a final whistle, players from both clubs started worming up for penalty shootouts.
Both teams missed one penalty shoot in the first round of five. Two spots were added once more and both teams did the job well. By this time it was already dark and the lights from fans’ phones were not enough which forced the referee to call the game to an end.

Meanwhile, participants will have to again wait for the final decision from the organizing committee on when a repeat for the final will be played.
Teams to be eliminated from the group stages include, Kisoro prisons staff, Kisoro hospital staff, Uganda Red Cross and UNHCR Kisoro, UMEME, Water and Metropolitan International University
