Halerimana Charles has called it quits with Muhabura Shine Secondary School as the head teacher, after 3 years in the position.
Mr Harela has been the head teacher for almost 11 years, serving three years a headteacher and 6 as deputy headteacher.
Announcements ran by the school administration pronounced the departure of Mr Harera as the head teacher, and gave a list of 5 other people that can be consulted for assistance by the students and parents.
However, Mr Harera later called a press briefing and announced that he is quitting Muhabura Shine Secondary School to institute a new Secondary School – Kisoro Progressive Secondary School.
The student’s favourite history teacher appreciated the management of Muhabura Shine, saying it was a wonderful journey, full of adventures. He adds that it is from that experience that he will start his own Kisoro Progressive S. S come next academic year.
“I thank God for allowing me to work at the school for over 10 years. I also thank the directors of the school and students for their favourable working environment.
God has given us an opportunity to kick start our own institution and we can’t wait anymore, given consideration of parents advice as well. We shall soon publicise our contacts and the location of our Kisoro Progressive Secondary School” Harelimana said.
The former head teacher also noted that Mr Sebukwengeri Joseph has moved on with him, despite Muhabura Shine listing him as their staff and a contact person.

On his part, Sebukwengeri announced that he is part of the team on Kisoro Progressive Secondary School, and shouldn’t be planned for by any other secondary school.
“Those who had planned for me can revise their plans, and I appreciate the directors of my former school for pushing me to my current status from the day I joined them from the University” He said.
He added that last year results at Muhabura Shine – where he was the Director of Studies – speak volumes with the best student having obtained 12 points at O’level.
Mr Kiizera on the other hand urges parents and teachers to trust them with their children.
