Football excites during Christmas Holiday

Youth in Kisoro have been commended for their participation in sports activities during the festive season.

Bufumbira East Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. James Nsaba Buturo has said youth who choose to remain disciplined in all areas of their life are more likely to succeed than those who are errant in behavior.

The comments were made yesterday during the closure of “Twese Turibamwe Tournament” at Masaka playground in Nyakabande Sub county, Kisoro district.

The football competition brought together areas of Murora, Chahafi town, Nyakabande and Kanaba.

The grand finale between Nyakabande and Chahafi town council ended one all pushing the game into penalties.

Rubuguri Christmas Cup

The tournament brought together four wards including Nombe, Rushaga, Kashija and Nyabaremura.

It was sponsored by Samuel, Bar Owner of Lagos, biggest entertainment center in Rubuguri town council. In attendance was State Minister for youth affairs Hon. Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi.

This cup brought together seven villages. It was sponsored by Gisorora legends.
